Here are some shots I took today.

This first one is from the Confucius Temple.  I just happen to have another picture on my computer here from 2006, which allows for a bit of comparison.  Behind my daughter (mugging with the Master) in the older photo, you'll notice the scaffolding and closed doors.

Another statue of Confucius, in the adjoining Imperial College (Guozi Jian).  The red decorations on the bridge and along the fence in front of the statue are placed by students to gain good luck in their tests:

    Your pictures brought back some great memories of my visit to Beijing and the Confucius Temple. For some reason (or was it because Chinese people tend to give directions even when they have no clue) we had a hard time to find the temple. But in the end we did. It was nice to arrive in a peaceful environment (as there were not much people around). The weather was great, the temple was beautiful…good times. Thanks for sharing the pictures!
