…I am already sick of the Olympics – and they haven’t even begun yet. Perhaps it’s because I am not fond of scrambled eggs and tomatoes. And I will certainly avoid the opening ceremonies: all such performances, anywhere any time, are vapid dreck. It probably would have been even worse had Spielberg stuck around. The fireworks, however, will probably be good.

I am sick of the Olympics from the very beginning…China shouldn’t have bothered… not before the 9 years compulsory education implemented in fact in the poorest counties of western China , not before China achieve national unification… Now that all the money and energies were wasted in the irresponsible manner, I am wishing it all the best, but I wouldn’t watch the opening and the ending ceremonies, which are by definition, shallow and showy…
