A couple of days ago we had a bit of a discussion over at Peking Duck around the question of how many Chinas there are.   Dave was wondering how Chinese culture might manifest itself in various locations: PRC v. Taiwan v. the diaspora, etc.  I chimed in a bit.  But tonight (because I am struggling under a pile of papers to grade and do not have time to come up with Big Smart Things To Say) I thought I would go all visual on you.  Here are a few different "Chinas," all from China.

The big China Rock n’ Roll Concert (via CDT):

Nice one, Sam. Definitely gets at another part of my question, which I wanted as open ended as possible.
Is the Yunnan Nationalities Village similar to the Shenzhen China Folk Culture Village theme park? Because that really is an ethnic DisneyWorld.
By the way, I asked Imagethief about Singapore and he emailed me his two cents. I posted it as a comment at the PKD thread you link.
