What can be said about such brutality? In the lines below, from the Tao Te Ching, the "Executioner" refers to the natural ebb and flow of life and death:
The Executioner’s killing is perennial, it’s true. But to undertake the killing yourself – that’s like trying to carve lumber for a master carpenter. Try to carve lumber for a master carpenter and you’ll soon have blood on your hands. (74)
Whoever is responsible will soon have blood on their hands, their own blood of failure.
