This is a great talk, by Kaiser Kuo. Much to be learned here: about the social context and political implications of the internet in China; about how the internet has influenced "people to people" relations between the US and China; about how people in both countries can work to improve those relations. Very smart, very constructive, very insightful. It's long, over an hour, but definitely worth the time… A description of the talk can be found here.

People at the borders of countries get along just fine, molding language and ideas and trading, friendships, marriages.. Then the remote Capital cities go to war.
