Remember what Sun Tzu and his commentator Chang Yu say:

Treat captives well, and care for them.

Chang Yu: all the soldiers taken must be cared for with magnanimity and sincerity so that they may be used by us. (76)

      It’s nice to see some serious consideration of this same idea by a couple of RAND analysts in today’s NYT.  If only our top-level leadership would get the idea…
